The Discord are based in Glasgow and comprise of Matthew Wilson (vocals, rhythm guitar), Mark Wade (lead guitar), Kevin Neale (bass guitar) and Leigh Simmons (drums).

The band, in its earliest incarnation, began around 1998 as fresh faced youngsters dreaming of rock'n'roll stardom. After playing cover versions at the odd school gig in Durham , the band became increasingly disillusioned with learning other people's songs and decided to concentrate on doing it themselves.

During this time band members and band names of varying quality came and went, but the song-writing duo of Matthew Wilson and Mark Wade remained. However it wasn't until the summer of 2006 that the band, armed with new bass player Kevin Neale, decided it was time to really up the ante and relocated to Glasgow with the intention of gigging, recording and ruffling some feathers.

With drummer Leigh Simmons completing the line-up and following on from performances at Bloc, Capitol and the legendary King Tut's Wah Wah Hut, The Discord intend to take their new material as far as it will carry them and make their mark on the imposing music industry
